JOB ROLE PURPOSE & SUMMARY: The Agency Relations & Volunteer Coordinator oversees and facilitates the overall coordination of the division's volunteers and helps build the MFB Brand awareness and donor base within the community through intentional outreach to businesses, churches, professional organizations, and other strategic groups in the community. This includes all aspects of volunteer recruitment, scheduling, placement, group leadership, and engagement. This individual will also support the division's operations by assisting with fundraising efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Underpin division operations, fundraising, and projects through community and volunteer engagement with support of Executive Director.
- Maintain and build relationships with 231 food agencies with support of Executive Director.
- Work with Operations role to maintain and assess agency distribution schedules, tracking, data entry, and paperwork for on- and off-site distributions.
- Cultivate existing, potential, and new partner agencies through frequent communication, community involvement, and networking.
- Recruit volunteers and corporate groups to support division operations through community awareness and financial sponsorship opportunities.
- Engage volunteers with intentionally crafted environments that trigger positive emotions and a fun, safe atmosphere.
- Promote and grow the MFB brand and donor base through key community relationships and positive, proactive advocacy, such as luncheons and tours.
- Identify, train, and schedule lead volunteers to host groups and represent the MFB brand in an engaging, safe environment.
- Nurture volunteers through encouragement, mentoring, appropriate placement, and supervision; nurture lead volunteers through annual re-training sessions.
- Collaborate with Operations/Warehouse/Agency roles to schedule and support individual and groups of volunteers to provide safe and meaningful work and meet loadout needs.
- Support agency relationships and MFB initiatives by identifying, training and mentoring volunteers to visit and work with our agency partners.
- Partner with Executive Director to develop and host annual agency meetings and surveys.
- Manage volunteer opportunities, hours, and requests through the electronic sign in software.
- Plan and execute formal volunteer appreciation event(s) annually.
- Assist with general office support, as needed.

- Foster a Christ-centered culture; develop positive relationships and appreciation for volunteers, employees, partner agencies, and community and business contacts.
- Ensure compliance with all MFB policies, procedures, and rules and with all contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and relevant laws.
- Recruit, identify, train, and continue to nurture volunteers in support of job role.
- Network with peers locally and nationally and across the MFB organization.
- Execute other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: - 2-years relevant work experience, 5-years desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Services, or related field or combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability creating a team-oriented environment and achieving results through others; experience leading volunteers desired.
- Experience using interpersonal skills to influence a community and maintain a strong brand image, including developing initiatives and executing strategic projects.
- Local community outreach related experience desired.
- Proven initiative, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
- Superior professional communications, verbal, written, and customer service skills.
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 and ability to learn new web software packages such as Golden Volunteer. Knowledge of Canva or other software to create professional fliers a plus.
- Willingness to participate in training that may include development of professional skills, education on MFB's policies and procedures, and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Extended periods of standing and walking within a large facility and at community events.
- Bending and lifting 30 lb boxes and manipulating full pallets multiple times weekly to organize group volunteer projects and at monthly distribution.
- In-state and minimal out-of-state travel, as needed, occasional evening and weekend obligations.
- Expected to engage community remotely, in-person, and off-site from facility.
Pay: $44,500 - $55,600 per year
