Roll-off Driver Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Roll-Off Driver with a CDL A or CDL B license and air brake endorsement. In this role, you will use roll-off trucks to haul recyclables, waste or debris. You should feel comfortable hooking and unhooking containers and tarping loads.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
· Safely drive and operate a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer combination unit) according to the work rules while also abiding by all local, state, and federal laws.
· Drive municipal waste or recyclable materials from the dropoff locations to material recovery facility or transfer and waste to the disposal facility and dispose of the load.
· Maintain a courteous and cordial manner with all customers encountered in the field.
· Complete all necessary and required paperwork daily.
· Ensure all materials are properly disposed of
· All other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
· Class A or B CDL and be 22 years old or older
· Current DOT physical
· Be able to successfully complete drug and alcohol screen
· Be able to successfully pass road test
· Must possess a good track record of on-time deliveries and reliability
· Must have a steady work history averaging 1 year or more at jobs in the last 4 years
· No DUI, OWI, reckless driving, or other major moving violations with in last 3 years
· Less than 2 instances in any 12 month period
· Less than 3 instances in any 36 month period (An instance is a moving violation or preventable accident)
· No more than 1 preventable accident in any 36 month period

Protective Clothing
Steel-toe boots, safety gloves, safety glasses, earplugs, and fire-resistant clothing/overalls, welding mask, welding gloves

Exposure to outdoor elements
Small cramped space such as equipment cab
Expose to dust
May work on uneven ground
Exposure to high/low temperatures with sudden temperature changes.
May experience wet weather, snow, or high humidity
Typical Physical Demands
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, lift/carry required.
· The ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs. is required.
· This job is performed in and out of the truck. Employees are subject to weather elements daily; i.e. heat, sun, rain, snow, wind, etc.
