Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Collaborate with the team to accurately track and manage all leads
• Define project scope, objectives, and detailed specifications
• Obtain estimates and prepare budgets for each project
• Work with the team to execute a contract and develop a project plan and timeline
• Working with townships to pull permits as needed
• Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor project progress and address issues
• Ensure the final product aligns with the client’s vision and expectations

Communication & Collaboration

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors
• Regularly update clients on project progress
• Address client concerns and requests promptly and professionally
• Work with the team on any issues or risks that may require changes to the project

Budget & Resource Management

• Monitor project expenses to ensure alignment with the approved budget
• Monitor resource allocation, identify project risks, and address issues early that could affect the project to mitigate the impact
• Manage subcontractors to ensure delivery and schedules are on time
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Resolve on-site challenges and unexpected issues promptly to avoid delays

• Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports
• Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met
• Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code
• Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors
• Comply with all best-practice health and safety standards to prevent injuries and slowdowns at construction sites, and promptly report any safety regulation issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the construction or development industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued
• Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly valued
• Possess a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods
• College degree (Bachelor’s) in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field
• 1+ years of experience as a construction project manager
