Position Overview

The Graphic Design Manager of Home Packaging is responsible for all packaging categories in Ralph Lauren Home. The Graphic Design Manager will have ownership of packaging projects from start to finish and will handle artwork approvals. This role is responsible for ensuring artwork is created and accurate according to our brand guidelines. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and execute projects from concept to final approval.
• Responsible for creating custom artwork and updating any rolling artwork changes for reordered product.
• Responsible for updating our brand guidelines when rolling out new packaging initiatives.
• Manage and work closely with third party suppliers and factories for artwork execution.
• Ambassador of the brand while working with suppliers and checking to make sure artwork is executed accordingly.
• Manage relationship with Marketing, Merchandising and Product Management on all packaging initiatives.
• Experience with photography including, editing, sending color comments, and color correcting proofs. This includes file size, lighting, color balance, and retouching.
• Experience reviewing samples for content, color, and quality.
• Evaluate market trends and analyze similar packaging designs.
• Manage the maintenance of library of all artwork files.
• Ability to change priorities for Graphic Design team in order to meet deadlines, as well as work across multiple timelines.
• Manage the creation of packaging mockups using computer modeling software.
• Presenting final designs to stakeholders across teams.
• Manage the development and scope of the Graphic Design Assistant.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Graphic Design/Packaging experience.
• Experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent typography skills.
• Great attention to detail and very organized.
• Experience working with dyelines and print proof photography.
• Has worked directly with factories and suppliers for packaging production.
• Experience managing people.
• Excellent communication and time management.
• An enthusiastic team player.
• Strong level of accountability and follow through with work.
