Essential Function The HR Change Consultant will act as a consultant to assist with key talent initiatives related to the SBH Fuel for Growth initiative. Ensuring that the change management program and the development of specific skills for leaders are developed. Leading and developing all aspects of comprehensive end-to-end business and HR change programs, including related materials, playbooks, e-learning etc.
Working with other external consultants and, or internal leaders to support the development of materials for any other programs related to Fuel for Growth.
Primary Duties 70% Change Management: Attending relevant meetings to gain insights into the overall goals and workstreams within the Fuel for Growth initiative. Identifying opportunities and making proposals within budget and resource parameters.
Creating structured, end-to-end, and manageable approaches to support change requirements (skills, knowledge, leadership ability, etc.) within functions/departments resulting from activities driven by the Fuel for Growth initiative. Developing playbooks, action plans, communication strategies, and materials and facilitating sessions aligned with best practices and with the leaders. Ensuring a sustainable approach is taken for example embedding content into onboarding, Academies, Leadership Essentials, and any other existing development activities.
Working and consulting with the Corporate HRBP team, L&D, and VP of Talent and Operations to ensure alignment with our Purpose and Values and current HR working practices.
Imparting knowledge and skills to the L&D, and HR team on change management principles and best practices with the aim that these can be used and implemented after departure.
30% Other Talent Projects: Supporting other ad-hoc Talent projects and activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Bachelor's degree in a related field
- High level of previous experience working with off-shoring; remote teams and working with third-party vendors
- Ideally relevant industry experience (retail, hospitality)
- HR experience would be desirable
- Essential to have previous experience as a consultant or in-house role with a similar focus
- Strong project planning and delivery skills
- Outstanding communication, both written and verbal skills
- Ability to be proactive and self-driven
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Ability to travel to different SBH locations when required - less than 15%. May include international travel.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
