Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Instructional Designer to join the Corporate Training Team. This person will be primarily responsible for the development, deployment, and ongoing enhancements of training materials to support Training and Operations initiatives for Vallarta.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the ADDIE model to develop eLearning courses and Instructor Led workshops
• Create training outlines, learning objectives, storyboards for eLearning courses, and training plans
• Develop eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline or Rise, which include practice activities, engagement to promote active learning, and knowledge and skills assessments
• Create and maintain training manuals, product knowledge guides, technology training guides, and other printed training resources
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across all departments to identify training needs and goals, gather training content, review all phrases of course development for content accuracy and relevance
• Assist with all areas of course QA testing, course evaluations, data analysis, feedback collection
• Proactively, openly, and respectfully engage in all discussions relating to training, project updates and issues, provide solution-based input and recommendations
• Work efficiently so projects are completed on time
• Manage multiple projects in concurrent work-streams
• Build and nurture trusting and collaborative relationships with colleagues
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrated ability to develop learning solutions (eLearning courses, Instructor Led workshops, training simulations, video-based training, learning activities) that are effective, engaging, and innovative
• Demonstrated ability to use appropriate evaluation methods to measure learning outcomes
• Expert in various learning theories and methodology, curriculum development, content curation, performance consulting, needs analysis, and learning technology
• Outstanding professional writing, attention to detail, critical thinking, reasoning, interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate flexibility by easily managing multiple projects and changing priorities

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field or relevant experience
• 1+ year experience developing curriculum eLearning courses and Instructor Led workshops
• 1+ year experience with Articulate 360 Storyline 360 and Rise 360
• Understand English and Spanish language; read, write, and speak preferred

Physical Demands

Travel, up to 25% as required by the project

May also have to do light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time

Required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Non-Exempt Level Position; Monday Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
