JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State (University Park) invites applications for a full-time
Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position in Italian (non-tenure-track), to begin in January 2025. This is a term position with possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and intermediate language courses. Teaching load is six courses per year or equivalent configuration with the possibility that up to half of the courses will be taught online (asynchronous).
Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in English and Italian and have completed a Master's Degree in Italian or in a related field by the appointment date. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian is preferred. Rank will be determined based on education and experience.
