Litigation Legal Assistant - Indianapolis, IN (Flexible/Hybrid)  LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join a well-established law firm in the Downtown/Mile Square area of Indianapolis, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation legal assistant, practice coordinator, legal admin, or legal secretary with 1+ years of US law firm experience to provide comprehensive support to two experienced attorneys.

The Opportunity:

In this dynamic role, you will play a vital role in supporting our client’s litigation team by handling a variety of tasks, including:

 
  • Litigation Support: Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Manage witness and trial binders. Assist with deposition scheduling and e-filing.
  • Client Management: Maintain and organize client files. Conduct conflict checks and prepare engagement letters. Schedule appointments and manage client-driven activities.
  • Case Management: Open new files, calendar deadlines, and track case progress. Proactively manage tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Daily Operations: Prepare and manage correspondence, presentations, and legal documents. Support the billing process. Order office supplies.
What You Will Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in US civil litigation, administratively supporting busy attorneys
  • 1+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation or insurance defense is preferred
  • Proficiency in legal document preparation, file management, typing/word processing, telephone coverage, scheduling, tracking expenses and attorney time, and billing
  • Experience with obtaining authorizations and records from medical providers and third parties
  • Experience with preparing pleadings and simple motions
  • Familiarity with electronic court filing and docketing software
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local court rules
  • Excellent organization, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A paralegal degree or certificate is preferred but not required.
The Benefits:
