Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Legal Assistant to become part of our team.

The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit exceptional organizational skills meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines effectively. Strong written communication skills are paramount as is the ability to present complex information in a straightforward and persuasive manner. Previous experience in a legal setting particularly in personal injury law will be highly regarded although comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

The ability to conduct thorough research and a proactive approach to problemsolving are also essential to success in this position.

Duties:

Criminal Law:

• Case Management: Organize case files track court dates ensure timely filings.
• Client Interaction: Conduct intake interviews update clients on case status.
• Legal Research: Research statutes and case law prepare summaries.
• Document Preparation: Draft pleadings motions and affidavits.
• Court Filings: File documents with the court ensure compliance.
• Trial Preparation: Organize trial binders coordinate witnesses.
• Investigation Assistance: Gather evidence contact witnesses.

Personal Injury Law:

• Client Intake: Conduct consultations gather accident details.
• Medical Records: Obtain and review medical records and bills.
• Insurance Claims: File and manage insurance claims negotiate settlements.
• Legal Research: Research relevant laws prepare legal memoranda.
• Document Preparation: Draft demand letters complaints and discovery documents.
• Litigation Support: Organize case files assist with depositions and trials.
• Settlement Preparation: Prepare settlement packages assist in trial logistics.
• Client Support: Update clients help with forms and documentation.

Requirements :

Requirements:

• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Proficient in using document management systems such as Smart Advocate or Casepeer.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to gather and analyze information effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
