Taylor Farms is hiring a Logistics Coordinator.

Position Reports To : Plant President

Job Duties Summary : As the Logistics Coordinator, youll oversee and facilitate our supply chain logistics. Youll organize, implement, and analyze systems, using people and processes to ensure transportation of goods and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning and coordinating freight deliveries and pick-ups.
2. Tracking shipments and updating status of goods.
3. Communicating with clients, shipping agents and freight carriers.
4. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and handling any customs-related issues.
5. . Resolving any freight delivery issues such as delays or mishandlings.
6. Preparing and managing documentation related to freight transport.
7. Ensuring accurate freight charges and billing.
8. Developing strategies to improve service levels, increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
9. Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Must be familiar with computer use and programs such as Microsoft Suite (word, excel, power point, etc.)
2. 10+ years of Transportation experience.
3. Excellent communication skills to facilitate relationships with outside companies.
4. Preferably a bachelors degree in logistics or related field.
5. Knowledge of shipping regulations, freight rates and customer procedures.
6. Proficient in utilizing computer software and tools to track shipments, generate reports, and create invoices.
7. Team player.
8. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
   

   Compensation

   $60,000-$80,000/year depending on experience.
