Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding operations on structural steel components according to blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures. - Fabricate and assemble structural steel components using various welding techniques, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, torches, and plasma cutters, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welded joints and structures for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards, making adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
- Continuously improve welding techniques and skills through training, practice, and feedback.
The essential functions of this role include:

- wearing steel toe shoes
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
