The limit and scope of care is defined by both Lodi Community Hospital's policy and procedures as well as provisions of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Nurse Technicians may not perform those activities that require an RN or LPN license. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.Job Responsibilities:Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to RN.These include but are not limited to vital signs, weights, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, clean dressing changes, application of external monitoring devices, and removal of urinary Foley Catheters.Assists with keeping patient rooms clean & orderly.Demonstrates a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the workplace.Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.Ability to read, write and speak English and to follow oral and written instructions.Ability to perform basic clinical petencies in both the professional, technical and clinical knowledge domains must be demonstrated in a safe, effective and efficient manner.Maintains personal growth and development through the ongoing process of formal and informal education.Other duties as assigned.Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and pletes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.Education:Must be a nursing student in good standing in an accredited nursing school program;OR must be an unlicensed graduate of an accredited nursing school program.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required prior to plexity of Work:Maintains competencies specific to patient population served.Must satisfactorily complete hospital orientation.Work Experience:Must meet the hospital's general requirements.
