What you'll do:We are seeking a talented and driven product manager to support the Entertainment product suite. The portfolio includes live/streaming TV service, wireless in-flight entertainment product, unified onboard entertainment experience and more. You will lead efforts in understanding the market and customer needs, gathering product requirements, developing well-written user stories, prioritizing and managing the product backlog, and ensuring the products and solutions we deliver meet our business goals and customer needs.
The day-to-day:Own the overall product lifecycle from ideation to end of life for the Entertainment product suite
Define and manage the product strategy, feature set, and product roadmap for the Entertainment product portfolio, and continuously groom the backlog
Write product requirements documents (PRDs) and business cases to align support of Senior executives and Business stakeholders
Work with Product Management, Engineering, UX/Design, Service Delivery, Commercial and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of product goals and requirements
Communicate quantitative and qualitative understanding of trade spaces, challenges and opportunities related to the Entertainment product suite to internal and external customers
Set goals for program increments and sprints to ensure customer requirements are met and drive value for the customer
Own the creation and management of product deliverables related but not limited to product requirements, Agile epics and stories, visual workflows/diagrams, gap analysis, and acceptance criteria with prioritized features and specifications deliverable to Engineering teams
Plan releases and upgrades and manage go-to-market activities
Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure effective utilization of resources and a manageable scope that can be delivered on time, on-budget, and with desired quality
Define and monitor key metrics for the product and drive actions through the System Architect and DevOps teams to achieve and maintain product success
Act as a subject matter expert for Entertainment and Media product offerings and support key stakeholders across the organization
What you'll need:Bachelors degree, CS degree or equivalent experience is preferred (MBA / masters degree a plus)
At least 3 years of experience as a Product Manager for software products, ideally in a tech company
Demonstrated understanding and experience with various product development methodologies and product lifecycles management, including Scaled Agile Framework
A strong drive to launch innovative products that deliver business outcome
Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage with both internal stakeholders and external customers at all levels
Demonstrated experience working with global teams, strong collaboration and ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence
Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills along with a strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively represent a multi-disciplined operation
Ability to create and present complex messages in clear and concise reporting, tailoring messages for various internal and external, business and technical audiences
Experience or strong understanding of the linear TV, streaming media services, AVOD/SVOD industry and video technologies a plus
Able to travel up to 20%
