We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Project Manager specializing in Structural Steel to join our thriving construction team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual to work on a variety of exciting construction projects. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of structural steel construction projects from the ground up. This includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of all project stages. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of construction management principles and an in-depth understanding of structural steel materials and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, design, construction, and delivery.
- Manage and supervise the execution of construction projects involving structural steel, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and adhering to quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project progression.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control and safety compliance.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or obstacles to maintain project schedule.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, specifically with structural steel projects.
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is highly desirable.
