Promotions & Activations Technician Department: Technology / Facilities

Description The Role & You Latino Media Network is in search of an energetic bilingual (English/Spanish) Promotions and Activations Technician, who will contribute to McAllen's radio station branding and promotional activities. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional people skills and be adaptable with their schedule. As part of a team, the Promotions and Activations Technician will support the organization of diverse events and station appearances; this involves interfacing and engaging with clients, listeners, and the Latino community during on-site promotional activities. This dynamic individual will work closely with various teams to execute on-site events, station appearances, and community outreach efforts; close collaboration with the sales, programming, and promotions teams is essential to bring creative ideas to fruition.
Reporting to the Promotions and Activations Manager in McAllen, Texas, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand image and driving engagement through creative promotional activities. This dynamic individual will work closely with various teams to execute on-site events, station appearances, and community outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities - Collaborate in the preparation of activations and other tasks such as organization of inventory, station props and station equipment.
- Set up and breakdown radio station promotional activities (Community Events / Branded station events / Concerts / Station activities)
- Setup promotional items, banners, tables, tents and sound equipment for remotes, special events and station appearances as well as being able to conduct on site contests, games and other promotional activities as needed. Assist the on-air talent and Sales Executives.
- Provide Customer Service by ascertaining the client's needs before and during any event.
- Greet listeners and distribute prizes to winners.
- Abide by organizational norms, support organizational goals, and help foster collaboration and teamwork.
- Assist the Promotions and Activations Manager on scheduling contests, liners or PSA's on Promo Suite.
- Assist the Promotions and Activations Manager on scheduling posts from the Account Executives on social media.
- Support the operational activities during the weekends, such as Board Op, connecting devices to broadcast from venues, stadiums, and clients' locations.
- Responsible for morning van hits and coordination with DJ's to promote ticket giveaways, client's giveaways and other campaigns on the streets.
- Other tasks assigned by the Promotions and Activations Manager.
You Have These Experience: - Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar positions in the media, audio or advertising industry.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English (Read, Write, Speak).
- Must be highly motivated, assertive, creative, and proactive
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Must be highly self-motivated, driven, assertive, creative, and proactive.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and client relations skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel or equivalents.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to drive and have a valid TX driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift 5-70 lbs.
We'd Love If You Also Have These - Some project coordination experience is preferred.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with online/social media platforms
- Photoshop edition abilities and video edition abilities are preferred.
- Knowledge of Matrix, Nielsen Audio, Tapscan and Wide Orbit

Compensation An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The base salary for this position is
