Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support specialty retail pharmacy operations in Cleveland, OH, by providing expert pharmaceutical care to complex patients with multiple chronic conditions. This contract role focuses on delivering compassionate, knowledgeable service to a patient population often navigating multiple medications and low literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients managing advanced chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and MS.
• Utilize strong communication skills to clearly explain medication regimens to Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients.
• Use Pioneer Rx software to document patient interactions and manage prescriptions.
• Work effectively within a specialty retail pharmacy setting, ensuring high-quality care for patients on 8-15 daily medications.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with current Ohio license.
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy; specialty retail experience is highly preferred.
• Explicit background managing chronic illness medications and patient consultation.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid populations and sensitivity to low literacy levels.
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx software is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience for detailed patient interactions.

Schedule:

• Selected dates starting late January through February, with additional dates potentially in March and April.
• Typical shifts: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
