Job Description Responsible for developing, coordinating, facilitating and implementing the risk management program and activities for Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Particular focus on training and facilitating employees, leadership, and medical staff, to incorporate the principles of risk management, patient safety, and quality into their everyday work. Responsible for information and education to providers on emerging issues of risk and best practice. This position processes highly confidential and sensitive staff and patient information. Demonstration of a high level of confidentiality is essential to this position.
Qualifications What is required... - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare related degree
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program & currently licensed in the State of Washington
- Two years of experience managing risk in the healthcare setting
- Previous work experience in managing potential and actual legal claims, and interfacing with liability providers and legal counsel
- Certification/recertification as Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 3 years of employment
What is preferred... - Education and training in Six Sigma, Lean and/or other Quality Improvement Modalities
- Experience in supervisory role
- Active memberships in the following: American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety (ASPPS)
- Certification/recertification as Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
- Certification/recertification as Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
Additional Information Wage: Wage range starts at $46.15/hour and goes up to $69.95/hour Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: 0.60 = 24 hours/week
