The Chemical Biology group is responsible for guiding the identification and development of DUBTACs through the establishment of cutting-edge mass spectrometry (MS) platforms. We are seeking a Mass Spectrometry Scientist to operate existing platforms and develop new platforms as needed to enable the identification and validation of DUB recruiters and DUBTACs. The ideal candidate is an open-minded, flexible and curious team player, who enjoys problem solving and collaborating with other team members to further the research objectives of our company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute cell-based screening experiments for proteomics analysis.
• Plan and execute MS-based experiments designed to understand the MOA of DUBTACs.
• Collaborate with junior scientists in the Chemical Biology team and provide mentorship to conceptualize and execute mass spectrometry experiments.
• Interface with data analysis, protein sciences, and medicinal chemistry to ensure corporate goals are accomplished.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or related field.
• 2-8 years of experience with high-resolution mass spec machines and techniques in proteomics mass spectrometry. In-depth familiarity with operating, maintaining and trouble-shooting instruments, with preferred experience on ThermoFisher or Bruker platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to use and implement various software packages in the analysis of MS data. Experience in developing pipelines for automated MS data processing and analysis is desirable.
• Experience in developing custom methods for sample preparation and MS analysis to achieve project goals.
• Effective communicator who leads by example and adapts to conditions on the ground to deliver scientific objectives consistently.

Expected Salary Range: Scientist I $120,000-$130,000 / Scientist II $130,000-$145,000. (Compensation and leveling will be commensurate with experience and expertise and could fall outside of the stated range)
