Senior Database Manager This candidate possess a strong foundation in database administration, development, and management, with relevant experience in the industry. In addition, this person must demonstrate strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise to ensure the efficient and secure management of our company's data resources.
Location: Tampa FL
Salary range: $115K to $120K
Responsibilities: •Develop and implement strategic direction for database systems to support logistics and warehousing applications.
•Lead initiatives to optimize database performance and enhance the efficiency of the full operation.
•Establish, enforce data backup, recovery, and archiving processes specific to logistics data.
•Ensure database integrity, stability, and security in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
•Design, develop, maintain robust database systems tailored to support logistics and warehousing applications.
•Perform hands-on optimization of database performance through the analysis of system resource usage and query execution plans.
•Troubleshoot, resolve complex database issues specific to logistics operations, minimizing downtime and ensuring data availability.
•Develop, implement, maintain database policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with logistics industry standards.
•Collaborate with logistics and warehousing stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate these into technical requirements.
•Conduct data analysis to provide actionable insights that supports logistics decision-making and operational efficiency.
•Develop data models and architectures that align with business strategies and objectives in the logistics domain.
•Lead and mentor a team of database administrators and developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
•Coordinate with other IT and business teams, particularly those in logistics and warehousing, to ensure seamless integration of database solutions.
Requirements: •experience in Data Development as a Sr. Manager.
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
•Advanced proficiency in SQL and database query languages.
•Deep understanding of database design and normalization.
•Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
•Provides recommendations for decisions affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
•Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories
•Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation
•Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business performance
