- Master's degree in Social Work
- LCSW under Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners OR LMSW
- LMSW under Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners OR LCSW
- Minimum of 2 years experience in working with children and families
- Knowledge of policies and procedures of social work services and cognizant of ethical and professional responsibilities
- Knowledge of social, psychological, and educational development of children
- Ability to interface with community agencies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with district staff and multiple campuses' staff, students, and parents
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of cultural competence in working with diverse populations
- Ability to be organized in keeping up with documentation and reports
- knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power point etc.)

The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers and presentation materials. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
Additional Information - This position requires travel to campuses, agencies, and homes throughout the community. Work is sometimes performed during home visits and may require some evenings and/or weekend work for parent events or campus events.
- If this position is assigned 100% to a Title 1 campus and is funded 100% by Title 1 funds, this position may be discontinued if funds are no longer available.
