Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties to be assigned.
• Independently set up and operate all knitting machinery, including circular and flat knits
• Maintain and trouble shoot all types of knits knit equipment ranging from traditional to state-of-the art
• Independently set up knit samples on the machine, optimize the machine parameters, and produce quality samples
• Build duplicate samples and prepare them for display and/or distribution.
• Communicate issues with knitting the samples or the knitting machine; assist in problem solving
• Maintain accurate yarn inventory and using our PickPro inventory system; assist in identifying process improvements to control and replenish materials.
• Set up and operate yarn winding machines.

• Highly motivated and able to safely operate all assigned equipment independently.

• Proven interpersonal skills required; with ability to develop effective relationships.
• Able to effectively execute multiple projects concurrently.

• A progressive thinker that has experience working with process improvement methods.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Able to teach/train other teammates.

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of functional experience with flat knits; including knit structure analysis and flat knit machine operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.

Physical Demands:
• The ability to frequently lift items weighing an average of 20 to 30 pounds with a maximum of 65 pounds throughout a full shift of work.
