• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 26, 2026 – End: April 27, 2026)\n
• Unit: Perianesthesia – 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)\n
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center\n
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 – $1880\n
• Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule\n
• Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50\n
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics\n
• Orientation: 36 hours\n

\n\nPACU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience\n
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio nursing license required)\n
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)\n
• Level 1 Trauma nursing experience preferred\n
• Proficiency in telemetry, ventilator management, and electronic charting systems\n
• Ability to provide 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference)\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)\n

\n\nPACU RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in a busy PACU environment\n
• Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, including vital signs and pain management\n
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered\n
• Manage ventilated patients and provide central line care\n
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other complications\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response\n
• Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems\n
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend coverage\n
