Tree Climber / Arborist

Liberty Tree & Landscape Management – Glenside, PA

Liberty Tree & Landscape Management is looking for an experienced Tree Climber to join our growing team. We are a well-established company serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Philadelphia region. We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable, safety-focused, and ready to grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree pruning, removals, rigging, and aerial work safely and efficiently
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, rigging systems, and other arborist tools
• Climb using rope-and-saddle techniques (DDRT/SRT experience preferred)
• Assist ground crew with chipper operation, brush cleanup, and equipment setup
• Inspect job sites and identify hazards before beginning work
• Communicate with crew leaders to ensure jobs run smoothly and safely
• Follow all company safety practices, PPE requirements, and ANSI/ISA standards
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
• Help maintain trucks, saws, and equipment in good working order

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional tree climbing experience (or equivalent arborist training)
• Proficient in climbing, cutting, rigging, and safe work positioning
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all outdoor conditions
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Tree Worker
• Experience with SRT climbing systems
• Crane removal experience
• Bucket truck experience
• Knowledge of local tree species and pruning standards
