KeenLogic is seeking a talented and successful Video Production Editor to perform post-production editing duties for CAO enterprise-wide project as well CEC related activities and initiatives. This position will be on-site in Washington, DC offering full health benefits, 401K, PTO, and Life Insurance.
Work hours: 40 hours per week, 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
The video production editor will provide on-site video editing services covering a wide range of topics. The editor will support video and multimedia specialists with post-production tasks such as reviewing scripts and footage, rough cuts, audio adjustments, visual aid preparation, and final content editing. In collaboration with staff to produce high-quality videos and animated content, the designated video production editor must be able to review and quickly cut video segments to specified lengths, reassemble them in sequences that create the desired impact and feel, and determine the need for and means of producing added effects.
Candidate Capability Requirements/Experience: •3+ years of experience with post-production video editing; Degree/Certification in Communications, Graphic Design, Video Production, Digital Communications, or related field preferred.
•Fundamental knowledge of design, color theory, typography, and composition.
•Advanced knowledge of post-production fundamentals, including, but not limited to, footage review,
rough cuts, audio adjustment, color grading, and final content editing, is required.
•Must have professional, relevant, and timely experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects,
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Media Encoder, and Adobe Illustrator in both Mac and PC environments.
•Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 applications.

•Working knowledge of creating appropriate pacing, narration, and audio in content.
•Knowledge of pre-production camera setup, lighting, teleprompters, and sound is desired.
•Must be able to provide quick turn arounds, comfortable with a rigorous approval process and tight
deadlines.
•Ability to juggle multiple tasks and switch gears quickly.
•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with elected officials, senior staff,
internal staff, and non-technical customers.
•Ability to work successfully individually and in a team environment and to exercise sound
professional judgment.
•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment,
meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Work is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of walking, standing, and lifting moderately
heavy items (ranging from 10 lbs to 30 lbs). Work requires the ability to distinguish colors.
Description of Work: - Work with video staff, multimedia specialists, customers, and other stakeholders to efficiently and creatively compose a video using raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, photos, and animated graphics.
- Quickly cut video segments to specified lengths; reassemble them in sequences that create the desired impact and feel; and determine the need for and means of producing added effects.
- Review and respond to customer requests. Work with cross-functional team members to meet specialized customer needs.
- Collaborate with the video and multimedia team to present final work products to customers for approval.
- Provide peer quality assurance checks on video with tight deadlines.
- Make recommendations for improving the editing process either with pre- or post-production techniques.
- Help maintain a digital asset library by naming, organizing, archiving, and updating files on internal/external servers.
